Northeast Community Center for Behavioral Health - Residential Programs

The Center provides residential services to adults with behavioral health needs and intellectual disabilities. The programs are designed to assist the individuals towards their recovery; to live as independently as possible in the community with supportive services. The Consumers are involved in decision making, planning and running of their homes while staff continue to provide the support necessary to assure a safe, secure environment in which to live. The residential programs are recovery focused, choice-based, with services that are community integrated, promote peer culture, individual strengths and family inclusion. The Community Lodge Program (CLP) is a recovery-based residential program for persons with behavioral health needs. Community Residential Rehabilitation Services (CRRS) MOD CRR & MAX CRR The Community Residential Rehabilitation Services, (CRRS) Is a recovery-oriented residential program for individuals, 18 years and older, with behavioral health needs who receive supervision of skills training, vocational/educational planning, psycho-social assessment, counseling and peer support in order to increase greater level of independence, interdependence, peer/family support and empowerment. The programs are designed to assist individuals to make a smooth transition from a psychiatric hospital or a poor living environment to live as independently as possible in the community with supervision and supportive services. Services include (1) skills training in areas such as meal preparation, housekeeping, budgeting, and medication management; (2) vocational/educational opportunities and counseling (3)individualized and person-centered service plans identifying personal goals based on individual strengths, needs and preferences; (4)accessing and expanding social and recreational support by increasing community integration activities; (5) peer leadership in weekly consumer government meetings which supports and strengthens mutual respect, responsibility and peer culture. The difference between the two programs is based on an individual's needs and challenges. The individuals at MAX CRR require an increased level of supervision while the individuals at MOD CRR have greater independence with moderate supervision. The focus, however, remains the same for both programs: recovery-oriented, choice based, with services that are community integrated, promote peer culture, individual strengths, and family inclusion.
