As an aspiring clinician, I would visit Dr. Chaefsky at times merely to learn. At 81, he had the energy and enthusiasm of a man in his thirties! His inexhaustible knowledge, however, of psychiatric diseases to the most minuscule of neuropharmacology factoids, made his experience of over half a century in the field was clearly evident. Excellent physician and mentor!
