DMVA provides eligible amputee and paralyzed veterans a pension of $150 per month.

DMVA provides a pension of $150 per month to eligible blind veterans.

DMVA offers a stipend program for organizations that provide Burial Honors at the three active National Cemeteries located in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania: Indiantown Gap National Cemetery; National Cemetery of the Alleghenies; and Washington Crossing National Cemetery.

County Directors of Veterans Affairs provide county veterans and their dependents direct assistance to identify, determine eligibility and assist in the preparation of applications for County, State and Federal veterans benefits and programs.

If you do not currently have a copy of your Certificate of Release or Discharge, DD Form 214, or the DD Form 215 (correction to the DD 214), now is the time to obtain it before you need it. The DD 214/DD 215 provides the member and the service with a concise record of a period of service with the Armed Forces at the time of the member’s separation, discharge or change in military status.

The Delaware Valley Veterans' Home was dedicated on November 1, 2002 and is the commonwealth's sixth and newest veterans home operated by the PA Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. Our facility serves 171 veterans and their eligible spouses in a caring and home-like setting. It is a spacious facility with skylights and large windows throughout the building.

The DMVA Educational Gratuity Program provides financial assistance to children of honorably discharged veterans who have service-connected disabilities and served during a period of war (PDF) or armed conflict or children of veterans who die or died in service during a period of war or armed conflict.

Fort Indiantown Gap is the only live-fire, maneuver military training facility in Pennsylvania and is administered and managed by the Pennsylvania National Guard. It serves as headquarters to the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs and Pennsylvania National Guard, offering more than 17,000 acres and 140 training areas and facilities for year-round training.

The 196-bed Gino J. Merli Veterans' Center provides a broad spectrum of health care and related services to those commonwealth veterans and their eligible spouses who are disabled, chronically ill, or in need of specialized care. We assist residents in functioning independently and at their optimal level. Most importantly, all residents are treated with respect and dignity.

"We care for our veterans" is not only the philosophy of the Hollidaysburg Veterans' Home, it is our commitment to serving the current health care requirements of those veterans and their spouses. Furthermore, we remain diligent in planning for anticipated needs of an aging veteran population that will require improved and innovative services.

Passenger cars, light duty trucks and motorcycles are eligible to receive the Honoring Our Veterans license plate, a special plate that costs $35 with $15 going into the Veterans’ Trust Fund.

The Pennsylvania Military Family Relief Assistance Program (MFRAP) provides financial assistance, in the form of grants, to eligible Pennsylvania service members and their eligible family members. Eligible members must have a direct and immediate financial need as a result of circumstances beyond their control

Located at Fort Indiantown Gap and housed in a two story barracks built in 1941, the Pennsylvania National Guard Military Museum showcases items and weapons from the Civil War to the Gulf War, as well as items that depict the history of the Pennsylvania National Guard and Fort Indiantown Gap.

The residents, staff and volunteers of the Pennsylvania Soldiers' and Sailors' Home extend a warm welcome to you. Our home is situated on 26 pastoral acres overlooking Lake Erie and is steeped in history. Remodeled and modernized, our home provides state-of-the-art care and treatment in a homelike atmosphere.

The Pennsylvania State Veterans Commission is established in accordance with Title 51 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes. It is comprised of representatives of all major veterans organizations throughout the commonwealth, as well as a representative of the Association of County Directors for Veterans Affairs.

The program provides real estate tax exemption for any honorably discharged veteran who is 100% disabled, a resident of the Commonwealth and has a financial need.

The Southwestern Veterans' Center provides a broad spectrum of health care and related services to veterans who are disabled, chronically ill or in need of specialized care. The center serves 236 veterans and spouses; 196 beds with full nursing care and 40 beds for residents with Dementia/Alzheimer's disease.

Pennsylvania offers its veterans six extended care facilities throughout the state. The level of care provided includes personal care, skilled nursing care, domiciliary care, and dementia care. These facilities offer qualified veterans and their spouses dedicated, superior care.

Veterans in Pennsylvania are eligible to receive a special designation on their Driver’s Licenses or Identification Cards (ID).

The Pennsylvania Veterans Registry is an online application that allows veterans, family members and people who work with veterans to connect with DMVA to request information related to the valuable state benefits, programs and services offered. Sign up today.

DMVA provides temporary financial assistance to Veterans and their beneficiaries who reside in Pennsylvania for the necessities of life (food, dairy, shelter, fuel and clothing).

The Veterans’ Trust Fund issues grants to statewide charitable organizations that assist veterans, veterans service organizations and county directors of veterans affairs to assist veterans in need of shelter and necessities of living.

In an effort to preserve the legacy of those who sacrificed all in Vietnam, DMVA is working with the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund in Washington D.C., to find a photo for each of the Pennsylvanians whose name is listed on the Wall of Faces through the generosity of those willing to help locate their photos. This program will ensure that Vietnam Veterans from Pennsylvania will be remembered and honored by visitors from around the globe for generations to come.
