Veterans Multi-Service Center: Employment Programs information provided by: the City of Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services

The Veterans Multi-Service Center offers many services including helping incarcerated and recently released veterans who were not dishonorably discharged from the US Military receive job readiness training and job placement, occupational training, and housing services through The Incarcerated Veterans Transition Program (IVTP). There is also a housing program that provides long term rental assistance and supportative services for homeless veterans with disabilities. Also available is a one-time grant for veterans with no other resources in an emergency situation. Maximum grant amount is $100 and awarded on a case by case basis. Veteran must not have any other funding and be in an emergency situation.

Veteran with other than dishonorable discharge, released from incarceration within last 18 months or on parole or probation. Homeless (must have homeless certification), Income (must be under 30% AMI), Disabled (must have verification of disability from a doctor- including serious mental illness, chronic substance abuse, physical disabilities, and/or HIV/AIDS+
