Shoebox Activities are a training system for sorting / matching / assembly designed to prepare children wit autism and mental retardation to learn basic vocational skills. Suitable for children functioning at the 12 to 22 month age level, the set includes 16 precision tasks intended for supervises use in home, clinic, or classroom settings. All 198 pieces are made of durable plastic or wood and have non-toxic, washable finishes. The set comprises all materials for the 16 tasks and instructions. Skills include a variety of simple put-in tasks, one-to-one correspondence, pull-apart and put-in tasks, stacking, and two-way object sort.
