Alpha Sequence – Autism Series is a perceptual training and pre-reading tutorial program designed for use by parents or teachers working with children with developmental disabilities or autism. This application (or app) allows a parent or teacher to use their Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad or Android device to teach a child to learn sequencing of letters. The app is organized into multiple "Learn and Play" sections, each with separate "Learn" and "Play" parts. The app shows pictures of individual letters on the screen in the "Learn" part. In the "Play" part, four letters are displayed on the screen, and the child is asked to select the picture with correct letter. Each correct response is rewarded with a cheerful animation. After the child answers the final question, a score screen appears, followed by a screen with a certificate of completion. Scores are recorded in the app for progress tracking and analysis purposes, and for assignment customization. The app is part of the Shanesh COLORS app series designed for children with autism spectrum disorders. It is based on the discrete trial part of ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis). Available languages include English, Chinese, Czech, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish. COMPATIBILITY: For use with an Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, or Android device. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Apple iOS 4.0 or later; Android 2.2 or later.
