The Job Readiness and Training Curriculum is a prevocational job skills training system and job readiness tutorial program designed for use by individuals with learning, cognitive, or vision disabilities. This series of duplicatable books and CDs can be used by high school students and adults independently or in groups and is designed to help students learn the competencies and goals need for work maturity and pre-employment. This curriculum addresses the different abilities of students by having three levels of competency materials. The reading level is from third to sixth grade and students can learn on their own level. Audio CDs are provided at the lower reading levels to help students master the information. Each level includes materials for the following competencies: career decision-making, job applications, business letters, labor market information, interviewing, resumes, punctuality/attendance, positive attitude/behavior, appearance, interpersonal relationships, and completing tasks. A teacher’s guide, pre- and post-assessments, and lesson plans are provided at no extra cost. The duplicatable books are available in digital format (Word or PDF) after purchase at no additional cost. This allows the print to be enlarged and materials to be put into alternate formats.
