Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Pennsylvania's Children's Behavioral Health Center (DCBHC) is an acute, 49 bed inpatient hospital focusing on the stabilization and treatment of children and adolescents in psychiatric crisis. DCBHC specializes in treating children ages 5-18. At DCBHC, an individualized, strength-based plan of care is developed and implemented to meet the needs of each child or adolescent and to promote continued resiliency after discharge and upon return to the community. The specific strengths and needs of the child or adolescent are identified and targeted using an interdisciplinary treatment team approach that may include: cognitive behavioral therapy; structured therapeutic sessions; medication management; individual talk therapy, family therapy; structured therapeutic sessions; individual crisis planning; psychosocial group therapy; and structured recreational therapy.
